Sustainable Development

Development of any sort is a mere “temporary eyewash”, if it is not sustained. Whatever good has happened should be always available to generations and human species, which will come after us. It is important for the development to continue and for this to happen, sustainability is needed. “Sustainable Development” is a term that is used at every domain and facet of life on this earth.
The race to the development had made nations to forego the harsh effects on environment and continuos degradation of natural resources. Healthcare and environmental and ecological system have been affected the most. The environment has taken a heavy toll, issues like climate change, ozone layer depletion, and loss of large flora and fauna are all created by humans in the name of advancement and development.
A famous Chinese proverb - "If we do not change our direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed." It is true the mankind had risen from a scratch to the third/fourth generation now. So it has to be sustained so that today’s dreams could become tomorrow’s possibilities.
It’s good for any nation to grow and spread ecologically and economically. However every possible methodology or equation should be used for making the development sustainable for a long period of time. Anything that is sustained today will only be available for tomorrow.
